網頁開發者警告，AI 驅動的網絡攻擊加劇了全球企業及政府系統可能受衝擊的憂慮。開發者用 AI 找出影響全球大多數網站的漏洞後，Cloudflare 指出利用漏洞的嘗試激增，Microsoft 亦警告一個與中國有關的黑客組織曾用 AI 入侵 IT 服務公司。OpenAI 稱防禦者仍有「防禦窗口」，但有報道指 AI 發展可能令窗口即將關閉。

Soon after web developers used AI to identify a bug affecting the majority of the world’s websites, Cloudflare noted a surge in attempts to exploit the opening, Microsoft warned that a China-linked hacking group used AI to break into an IT services firm, and commercially available chatbots were reportedly used in attacks on banks.
The race between companies trying to patch issues and malign groups aiming to take advantage of them highlights the growing importance of what OpenAI has termed “the defender’s window.”
However, as an Information reporter put it, AI advances likely mean “the closing of the ‘defender’s window’ is nigh.”
