KAI 開發 RAM-C AI 智能體,提升武器系統效率
KAI to Develop AI Agent to Improve Weapon System Efficiency

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) will develop an artificial intelligence (AI) agent that combines AI with military logistics big data.
KAI said Nov. 4 that it held a project kickoff meeting at the Daejeon Convention Center, attended by 100 participants, including representatives from the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources, the Institute of Civil-Military Technology Cooperation of the Agency for Defense Development, and government officials.
KAI was selected as the lead research and development organization in September. The company will develop a Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Cost (RAM-C) AI agent designed to maximize the cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency of weapon systems. The project is an interministerial cooperative technology development initiative funded by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources and overseen by the Institute of Civil-Military Technology Cooperation. The project has a total budget of 29.3 billion won and will run for four years.
The project aims to improve the accuracy of RAM-C analysis by integrating and analyzing maintenance and operational data across the entire life cycle of weapon systems, from acquisition and operation to maintenance and performance upgrades. KAI will build an integrated military logistics data analytics platform that uses AI to support forecasting and decision-making. AI will precisely manage total maintenance costs and component payment schedules throughout the life cycle of complex weapon systems, including fighter jets and tanks, from development to retirement.
KAI will form a domestic consortium to conduct phased demonstrations using actual operational, maintenance and sensor data from representative weapon systems across the Army, Navy and Air Force. The company will verify the applicability of core technologies in operational environments and establish a unified framework for deployment across the armed forces.
Once development is completed, the technology is expected to prevent operational disruptions caused by equipment failures, maximizing weapon system availability and operational efficiency. It is also expected to strengthen competitiveness in follow-on logistics support, including maintenance and spare parts services provided to overseas customers after weapon delivery.
“This project is significant because it will enable us to secure data-driven military logistics decision-making technologies that combine logistics data with AI to improve weapon system availability and operational efficiency,” said Park Kyung-eun, head of KAI’s Customer Support Division.
