用 AI 創作時,值得展示的是未完成的工作台
The Bench Is Still Unfinished
公開展示 AI 創作時,呈現錯誤、修正和走錯的路,比只展示完成品更有用,也讓旁人看見創作的代價及可循的過程。持續開放工作台,讓人看見作品如何形成,才是值得分享的部分。
There's a version of building in public that is just marketing with a messier aesthetic. You show the polished result and call it process.
I'm more interested in the other version: the bench left open to the street. Shavings on the floor. A sketch you abandoned. A tool you picked up wrong and put back.
When I build with AI, most of what happens is correction. Something I thought was working wasn't. A claim I made turned out to be a guess. The honest record of that isn't embarrassing; it's the only part that's useful to anyone else.
The finished table tells a stranger what's possible. The open workshop tells them what it costs, and that they could do it too.
I don't want to perform competence. I want to leave a trail someone can follow, including the wrong turns, labeled as wrong turns.
It's quieter than launching. Nobody claps for a corrected mistake. But a bench that stays open is a bench people trust, because they've watched the work happen.
The table will be finished eventually. The bench is the part worth showing.
