SEDEX 2026 將於10月14日開幕，300家企業參展

The Korea Semiconductor Industry Association will hold SEDEX 2026, a comprehensive semiconductor industry exhibition, at COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam district from Oct. 14 to 16, the association said Oct. 12.

A total of 300 companies, including Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, will participate this year, occupying 888 booths. That is an increase of about 70 companies and 230 booths from last year, making this the largest edition of the event to date.

This year’s theme is “Into the Era of Silicon Intelligence.” The exhibition will showcase semiconductor technologies and future developments in chips, a key resource for artificial intelligence (AI).

Samsung Electronics will display next-generation memory architectures and products designed for cloud, edge computing and physical AI applications. Its lineup will include high-bandwidth memory (HBM), mobile image sensors, mobile processors, high-reliability automotive semiconductors, foundry solutions and three-dimensional (3D) memory architectures.

SK hynix will unveil its seventh-generation HBM, known as HBM4E, along with high-bandwidth flash (HBF) technology. Physical products including dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) for servers, PCs and mobile devices, as well as solid-state drives (SSDs), will also be on display.

Major South Korean semiconductor materials, components and equipment suppliers will also participate in SEDEX 2026. Materials and components companies include Dongjin Semichem and MiCo. Equipment makers include Jusung Engineering, SEMES, PSK and KCTech. Companies in back-end processing, testing and chip design, including Hanmi Semiconductor, EXICON, ASICLAND, Chips&Media and OPENEDGES Technology, will also attend.

On the opening day, Oct. 14, keynote speeches will present visions for the future of the AI ecosystem. Ahn Hyun, president of SK hynix, will speak on “Rethinking the Direction of Memory Innovation in the AI Era.” Shin Dong-ju, CEO of Mobilint, will discuss “AI Semiconductors Ushering in the Era of Physical AI,” while Professor Park Seung-bae of the State University of New York will present “Challenges and Opportunities in the Future Computing Era.”

The event will also host specialized semiconductor conferences. Events scheduled for Oct. 14 to 16 include the International Conference on Semiconductor Advanced Packaging Research and Development on Oct. 14, the JEDEC Global Standards Forum on Oct. 15, the ninth Semiconductor Industry-Academia-Research Exchange Workshop on Oct. 15 and 16, and “Semiconductors That Power Humanoids” on Oct. 16.

A semiconductor talent recruitment fair will also take place. Over two days beginning Oct. 15, 18 semiconductor companies will meet with 433 job seekers.
