Samsung SDS said in a regulatory filing on Oct. 29 that its preliminary consolidated revenue for the third quarter of 2026 reached 3.7725 trillion won, while operating profit totaled 241 billion won. Revenue rose 11.2% and operating profit increased 3.7% from a year earlier.

By business segment, IT services revenue increased 5.3% year-on-year to 1.681 trillion won. Cloud revenue within the segment rose 18% to 796.1 billion won.
Within the cloud business, the cloud service provider (CSP) segment grew 15%, driven by rising demand for Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) and increased supply of graphics processing unit-as-a-service (GPUaaS) offerings to the public sector and software industry. The managed service provider (MSP) business expanded 25%, supported by artificial intelligence transformation (AX) projects in the financial sector and enterprise resource planning (ERP) projects in the shipbuilding industry.
Logistics revenue rose 16% year-on-year to 2.0915 trillion won. Higher air and sea freight volumes and rising freight rates contributed to the increase. It was the first time this year that quarterly logistics revenue exceeded 2 trillion won.
Cumulative revenue for the first nine months of 2026 increased 4.3% year-on-year to 10.8432 trillion won. However, cumulative operating profit fell 24.6% to 551.1 billion won, while cumulative net profit declined 23.2% to 456.5 billion won.
Samsung SDS is accelerating investment in AI data center infrastructure alongside the expansion of its cloud business. The company was recently selected as the preferred bidder for a data center design, build and operate (DBO) project exceeding 200 megawatts (MW), being pursued by Pacific Asset Management.
The company began construction of the National AI Computing Center in August, targeting completion in 2028. It also plans to build an AI data center in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, with an initial power capacity of 60 MW. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for early November.
According to the company, Samsung SDS is also expanding security partnerships with global AI companies. After joining OpenAI's Daybreak Partner Program as a pilot partner, it also joined Google's Fairwind and Anthropic's Security Verification Program.
Meanwhile, Samsung SDS is scheduled to hold an earnings conference call at 2 p.m. on Oct. 29 to discuss its third-quarter financial results and key business developments.
