IGLOO Corporation 獲雲端中斷日誌管理專利

IGLOO Secures Patent for Cloud Outage Log Management

AI 導讀

IGLOO Corporation

IGLOO Corporation said Oct. 23 it has secured a patent for a cloud-based log management server that continuously collects log data during network outages and stores the records in sequence.

Cloud environments connect servers and services through networks, making log transmission vulnerable to even temporary disruptions. Even after transmission resumes, broken links between existing and new logs can make it difficult for big data analytics systems to accurately reconstruct the sequence of events.

The patented technology automatically switches log transmission methods based on network connectivity. Under normal conditions, logs are transmitted individually to cloud storage in real time. During an outage, logs are temporarily stored in files and uploaded in batches once connectivity is restored. The temporarily stored logs are assigned sequential numbers beginning immediately after the last log recorded before the outage, preserving their original order.

For example, if the last log before an outage is numbered 100, logs accumulated during the disruption are assigned numbers 101, 102 and so on. Even when transmitted together after recovery, the sequence remains intact, with log 101 following log 100.

The technology also includes a feature for predicting network disruptions. It compares the strength, frequency and consistency of data transmission signals against reference values recorded during previous outages.

“As companies and institutions increasingly migrate to the cloud, foundational technologies that enable uninterrupted collection and precise analysis of security data, even during network disruptions, are becoming more important,” said Lee Deuk-chun, CEO of IGLOO Corporation. “We will enhance security visibility across complex infrastructure environments and advance autonomous security operations centers (SOCs) through reliable data processing and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.”
