HD Hyundai Electric 與 LG CNS 合作拓展 AI 數據中心電力基礎設施業務

HD Hyundai Electric is partnering with LG CNS to expand its business in power infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers.

HD Hyundai Electric said on Oct. 16 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with LG CNS the previous day at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, to cooperate on data center power infrastructure and smart factory development.

The companies will establish a system to supply power equipment and distribution facilities required for AI data centers as integrated packages. They will also jointly identify business opportunities and pursue contracts for data center power infrastructure projects in South Korea and overseas.

The companies are also considering integrating LG CNS's AI, cloud and data analytics technologies into HD Hyundai Electric's power monitoring platform.

In manufacturing, the partnership will focus on automating production and logistics at HD Hyundai Electric's Cheongju Distribution Campus. HD Hyundai Electric will provide manufacturing site data, while LG CNS will apply its manufacturing AI and process and logistics automation technologies.

"Through our partnership with LG CNS, we will improve the operational efficiency of data center power infrastructure and secure new business opportunities," said HD Hyundai Electric CEO Kim Young-ki.
