More from CNET

CNET’s expert reviewers, Matt Elliott and Joshua Goldman, voted this laptop as the best option for creatives and people looking to experiment with AI. In their review, they agreed that, “The new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips offer strong performance for generative imaging, gaming and 3D rendering. Pricing escalates quickly as you add memory and storage and jump from the M5 Pro to the M5 Max processor, but the M5 Pro with 24GB of RAM is probably enough unless you have extreme performance needs.”

Even with all its top-notch features, the M5 Pro MacBook Pro offers all-day battery life that performs efficiently whether you’re unplugged or charging.

Apple didn’t skimp on the laptop’s aesthetics. The M5 Pro has a gorgeous Liquid Retina display with up to 1,600-nit peak brightness, so you can see every detail even in challenging lighting conditions. You’ll also get Apple’s signature backlit keyboard and Touch ID for security.

The M5 Pro MacBook Pro makes it easy to stay connected. It works with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and includes Thunderbolt, HDMI and SD card ports, along with a headphone jack. Editors and media fiends will also appreciate that the MacBook Pro’s speakers offer Dolby Atmos sound and spatial audio.
