AI 系統維護:上線後哪些環節會出問題?

AI system maintenance: what breaks after launch

Developing an AI system is always a custom story, and there are plenty of points where something can break. That is why after development - your own or ordered from a team - you genuinely need maintenance for a while. What we assumed in the architecture and what actually happens in reality are completely different things. Without careful monitoring, bug fixing and further development, the build very often turns into dead weight. This stage can never be skipped.

So what actually breaks in the first months? Almost always the same things.

Data drifts. The system learned to do its job on particular price lists, schedules and documents - and those keep living their own life: an invoice format changed, a section moved on a supplier's site, and part of your logic is now working blind.

External dependencies change without asking. A model gets updated and starts answering slightly differently. A platform API changes a version or its rate limits. You did nothing - and the system's behavior is already different.

People use the system differently than you assumed. Tests had clean, tidy requests; real life has typos, half-finished phrases and questions that were never in the plan. All of it lands exactly where tests never looked.

The business changes. A new service, new rules, a new process. Logic assembled for the old scheme quietly stops matching - and nobody notices until it hurts.

None of these mean the system was built badly. It is a normal property of custom development: the system lives inside reality, and reality does not stand still. Launch and forget works only with a toaster.

That is why maintenance is not an optional insurance policy - it is part of the system itself. Watching how it behaves on live data. Catching bugs before users notice them. Keeping the logic aligned as data and processes change. Without that, a long-running system wilts - invisibly at first, then in plain sight.

System monitoring dashboard

If you are launching an AI system - your own or built to order - plan for maintenance from the start, as a stage of development rather than an option to remember later. My support and evolution runs in monthly cycles for exactly this reason: a month of live work tells you more than any acceptance testing before launch. This stage can never be skipped - without it, the development becomes dead weight.
