Koscom 採用 UNNET 的 TarantulaDB 建構下一代總帳系統
Koscom Adopts UNNET's TarantulaDB for Next-Generation Ledger System

Data platform company UNNET said on Nov. 4 that it supplied its proprietary enterprise database management system (DBMS), TarantulaDB, for Koscom's next-generation ledger system project.
Koscom adopted TarantulaDB, a commercial DBMS based on PostgreSQL, for its recently launched fifth-generation PowerBASE service. The service is a hybrid ledger system that combines cloud-native technology with the stability of its existing C-based architecture.
As part of the next-generation system project, Koscom converted its existing C-based source code to Java and used artificial intelligence (AI) to improve development productivity through tasks such as generating business specifications and automating testing. The company also adopted its proprietary Java-based integrated development platform, FICO, and implemented a cloud-native architecture to distribute traffic across individual services.
UNNET emphasized that its DBMS now supports a core financial system built on a cloud-native architecture. Financial ledger systems are mission-critical platforms that must process large volumes of transaction data reliably while maintaining data integrity and high availability.
UNNET said TarantulaDB integrates enterprise database management capabilities built on open-source PostgreSQL, including high availability (HA), real-time monitoring, backup and recovery, data security, SQL performance analysis and tuning, and integration with heterogeneous databases.
Its high-availability solution, TaranDB-ClusterManager, will support uninterrupted operation of the financial ledger system. The solution is designed to enable automatic failover in the event of a database failure while providing load balancing and service continuity across multiple nodes.
UNNET expects the deployment to encourage broader adoption of PostgreSQL-based DBMS products across the financial sector.
