為何多智能體協作需要編排層,而不只是共享工作空間
Why Multi-Agent Collaboration Needs an Orchestration Layer, Not Just Shared Workspace
GitHub Trending today tells a clear story: multi-agent collaboration is the new frontier.
nightly-labs/openbot brings agent-to-agent collaboration to the desktop with shared workspaces, task queues, and file sharing. obra/superpowers positions itself as an agentic skills framework & software development methodology. makecindy/cindy promises an open-source AI agent that works out of the box.
Developers clearly want multiple agents working together. But here's the problem we hit when building enterprise agent workflows:
Shared Workspace ≠ Collaboration
When we first tried multi-agent setups, we assumed that giving multiple agents access to the same workspace and shared context would naturally lead to collaboration. It didn't.
Without an orchestration layer, agents would:
- Work on overlapping parts of the task
- Produce contradictory outputs
- Block each other on shared resources
- Have no mechanism for failure recovery
The missing piece was task decomposition and orchestration — someone (or something) needs to:
- Break down the complex task into subtasks
- Assign each subtask to the right specialized agent
- Collect and reconcile results
- Handle failures and retries
The SuperAgent Pattern
This is exactly what iflytek/astron-agent is designed for. It's an enterprise-grade, commercial-friendly agentic workflow platform that builds SuperAgents — a meta-agent that orchestrates specialized sub-agents.
Instead of throwing agents into a shared room and hoping they figure it out, the SuperAgent pattern introduces an explicit orchestration layer:
- Task decomposition: Break complex enterprise workflows into atomic subtasks
- Agent dispatch: Route each subtask to the right specialized agent
- Result aggregation: Collect outputs and reconcile conflicts
- Lifecycle management: Handle timeouts, failures, and retries
Works Out of the Box for Enterprise Automation
For enterprise process automation, iflytek/astron-rpa brings the same philosophy to RPA: Agent-ready automation tools that don't require glue code.
The Takeaway
Multi-agent collaboration is the right direction. But collaboration without orchestration is chaos. If you're building multi-agent systems, ask yourself: who's decomposing the task, who's dispatching, and who's reconciling results?
If the answer is nobody, you might need an orchestration layer.
