Cometflow Do:兩種模式、一個私隱工作空間,裝置由你掌控

Cometflow Do: Two Modes. One Private Workspace. Your Device, Your Control.

AI 導讀

Cometflow Do 正在開發一款 Android 應用程式,以 Utility Mode 和 Intelligence Mode 結合日常工具與裝置端 AI 助理。

正文

What if one app could handle your everyday tasks instantly, understand what you mean, and bring AI assistance directly to your device — without making your personal data travel across the internet?

That's the idea behind Cometflow Do, an Android application we're building for people who want useful tools, intelligent assistance, and control over their own data.

Instead of combining everything into one confusing interface, Cometflow Do is being designed around two distinct experiences: Utility Mode and Intelligence Mode.

  1. Utility Mode — Just Describe What You Need

You shouldn't need to search through dozens of menus to complete a simple task.

In Utility Mode, you describe what you want in natural language. Cometflow Do understands the request, identifies the appropriate utility, extracts the required inputs, and executes the task through its registered tools.

For example:

  • "Convert this JSON into CSV."
  • "Calculate the percentage increase from 450 to 600."
  • "Generate a UUID."
  • "Compress this image."
  • "Calculate the difference between these two dates."
  • "Decode this Base64 string."

The goal is simple: less searching, fewer steps, more completed work.

Utility Mode focuses on deterministic execution. When you ask it to calculate, convert, validate, or process something, it uses the corresponding utility rather than relying on an AI model to invent an answer.

The platform already has an expanding collection of 500 utilities, with a long-term ambition to grow into a much larger toolkit.

  1. Intelligence Mode — AI Assistance on Your Device

Sometimes, you don't need a calculator or converter. You need an assistant that can understand a question, explain a concept, help you write, explore an idea, or explain a programming problem.

That's where Intelligence Mode comes in.

The planned experience uses a locally running language model, with Llama 3.2 1B Instruct being evaluated for this purpose.

Potential use cases include:

  • Asking general questions.
  • Understanding programming concepts.
  • Explaining code and errors.
  • Brainstorming project ideas.
  • Drafting and improving written content.
  • Having contextual conversations.
  • Getting assistance without depending on a cloud AI service.

The model is downloaded separately with user consent, rather than being bundled into the main application.

Once installed and running locally, AI inference can happen directly on the device without sending each prompt to an external AI server.

  1. Model Optimization Without the Intended Quality Trade-off

Running AI locally on Android devices comes with real limitations: storage, available RAM, processing power, and battery consumption.

That's why model optimization is an important part of Cometflow Do's development.

During our AI Studio-assisted optimization work, the reported result was zero measurable quality loss in the evaluated tests.

This is an encouraging development result, not a guarantee that every task, device, or conversation will produce identical results. We intend to continue evaluating model quality, memory consumption, response speed, and stability on actual Android hardware.

Our objective is to make local AI more accessible without unnecessarily sacrificing the experience.

  1. Privacy Is a Core Design Principle

Your everyday tasks can contain personal information. Your questions, text, files, calculations, and ideas deserve to be treated carefully.

Cometflow Do is being designed around a local-first approach:

  • Utility processing is intended to happen on your device.
  • Intelligence Mode uses on-device inference when the local model is installed and active.
  • No mandatory account is intended for the core experience.
  • No cloud AI API key is required for local inference.
  • The local model is stored in app-specific device storage.
  • Users should have control over downloading and deleting the model.

Our privacy goal: Nothing leaves your device during local-only operations.

This statement applies to the local processing paths. Any future optional online integration, external link, or user-initiated network operation must be clearly distinguished from offline functionality. Network-dependent features should never be presented as local-only.

  1. Two Modes, Different Jobs

Feature| Utility Mode| Intelligence Mode
Primary purpose| Complete tasks| Understand and assist
Processing| Registered utilities| Local AI model
Internet required| Depends on the utility| No, for local inference
AI model required| No| Yes
Examples| Calculate, convert, validate| Explain, write, brainstorm
Privacy approach| Local processing where supported| On-device inference

The two modes are designed to complement each other.

Intelligence Mode may help understand what you want to accomplish, but actual utility operations should still be handled by Cometflow Do's registered execution system. This keeps tool actions predictable and independently validated.

  1. Built for Practical Everyday Use

Cometflow Do is not being designed around complicated dashboards or features that look impressive but don't work.

The focus is on:

  • A clean, polished Android interface.
  • Fast access to useful utilities.
  • Natural-language task understanding.
  • Optional offline AI assistance.
  • Local-first data handling.
  • Efficient resource usage.
  • A growing collection of genuinely useful tools.

We want the application to remain useful even if you never download the AI model.

What's Next?

Cometflow Do is still under development. We're working toward a reliable combination of everyday utilities and private, on-device intelligence.

Our long-term vision is ambitious: a growing collection of 2,000+ genuinely useful utilities, alongside an intelligent assistant that respects the user's control over their device and data.

We're building this step by step, testing real functionality rather than simply increasing feature counts.

Cometflow Do — Get Things Done. Think Locally. Stay in Control.

More updates coming as development progresses.
