HyperAccel 聘任前 Samsung Securities 高管出任 CFO

HyperAccel, a semiconductor fabless startup, said Oct. 27 it has appointed Junyeon Kim as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

Kim previously served as a director in the Capital Markets Division at Samsung Securities, where he advised major South Korean artificial intelligence (AI) chip companies on initial public offerings and investments. Before joining Samsung Securities in 2019, he worked in global business development and overseas marketing at POSCO International and in new business development at Amazon.

HyperAccel has developed an LLM Processing Unit (LPU) specialized for large language model (LLM) inference. The high-efficiency AI chip is designed to reduce computational costs and power consumption for AI models. The company is expanding its applications beyond data centers and enterprise servers into robotics and autonomous vehicles.

“HyperAccel possesses unique technology with the potential to become a game changer in AI inference,” Kim said. “I will develop a sophisticated financial strategy to ensure the company’s technological potential is properly recognized worldwide.”
