Namuga to Supply Camera Modules for Global Tech Firm’s Video Conferencing System
Namuga獲選為一家全球大型科技企業開發的新一代 3D 視像會議系統量產供應商，將供應立體相機模組。該決定是在約六個月的概念驗證（PoC）測試及品質、性能評估後作出；客戶身份和供應量因保密條款未有披露。模組以左右兩部相機擷取拍攝對象的距離及深度資訊。
Namuga announced on Oct. 13 that it has been chosen as a mass-production supplier of stereo camera modules for a next-generation 3D video conferencing system developed by a global big tech company.
The decision follows about six months of proof-of-concept (PoC) testing, along with quality and performance evaluations. Namuga did not disclose the customer's identity or supply volume, citing confidentiality provisions.
The video conferencing system uses multiple cameras to capture people and spaces in three dimensions, making remote participants appear as if they were physically present. Namuga will supply stereo camera modules that use two cameras, positioned on the left and right, to capture distance and depth information about subjects.
Namuga began PoC testing early this year and competed with domestic and overseas camera module makers for the supply contract. The customer evaluated continuous operation over extended periods, durability, and optical performance. It also inspected Namuga’s production subsidiary in Vietnam to assess its mass-production capabilities and quality control systems.
Namuga said it is expanding its non-mobile camera business into three-dimensional (3D) sensors for autonomous robotaxis and robotics.
