We’re excited to announce the fellows who will be part of the inaugural a16z Ops Engineering Fellowship, an 8-week cohort of leaders who are transforming their organizations with AI.

We received thousands of applications from talented people around the world. Today, we’re thrilled to share more about the inaugural cohort of 50 fellows who are leading operations engineering at companies like Ramp, Decagon, Luma AI, Opendoor, and ElevenLabs.

Many sit at the intersection of operations and engineering, scaling operational rigor within and across teams. They’re leading the charge by building the internal tools that consolidate the tooling stack, designing the data and context layers that agents draw on, deploying agentic workflows with human checkpoints, and driving adoption. Folks like Ben Booi and Rushaabh Saliya at Opendoor, Chris Jones at Shopify, Dilan Shah from Cresta,Jordan Shapiro at Handshake, Kevin Chu from ElevenLabs,Saya Iwasaki at Notion, Christina Huang at Cognition, and Keith Gliksman at Tennr.

Some are world-class COOs and chiefs of staff redefining how AI gets used across organizations. They’re deciding which workflows to automate first, the KPIs that prove it’s working, and are leading the teams that put it to work. Folks like Caroline Ingeborn at Luma AI,Gabriella Garcia at Warp, Brandon Gell at Every, Rohan Shah at Datavant (ex-Ramp), Matt Stehle at Formation Bio, and Meera Shah at Glean.

Others are taking how software gets built to the next level, creating new products and leading the teams that ship them, like Claire Vo at ChatPRD, Seb Goddijn at Yaklabs (ex-Ramp Glass), TK Kong at Concept,Matt Portnov at Decagon, Owen Williams at Stripe, Andrew Qu at Vercel, and Max Nardi at Runlayer.
