我觀察 438 人練習 AI 輔助編程面試:93% 接受 AI 寫出的程式碼
I watched 438 people practice AI-assisted coding interviews. 93% of the time they accepted whatever the AI wrote.
Ten companies now run a coding interview where an AI assistant is part of the test. Canva went first in June 2025. Shopify, Meta, DoorDash, Amazon, Atlassian, Stripe, Coinbase, Google and Instacart followed. I run nyrion.ai, a practice site for this round, so I can see what people really do when they work with an AI assistant. I looked at the numbers from the last few months. Here is what they say.
1. People accept the AI's code almost every time
People made 1,659 accept or reject decisions on code the assistant proposed. 1,546 of them were accept, which is 93%. 109 people decided on five or more proposals, and 62 of them never rejected one. I expected pushback, but there is almost none.
2. The code passes more often when the AI wrote it
When the assistant proposed code before the first submit, 87% of first submits passed the full test suite of the stage. When there was no AI proposal, 53% passed. The difference is there on first stages and second stages, and on later stages too. It is a correlation, and it says nothing about why. But it is a big gap.
3. Then most people can only partly explain it
After the tests pass, we ask the person to explain the code they just submitted. We got 497 written answers. 9% of them were complete, 79% were partial and 12% were off. Three in four partial answers got the idea but missed a key point. People also skipped 29% of open questions, against 5% of multiple choice ones.
So in a typical session the AI writes the code and the person accepts it. The tests go green. After that the person can explain roughly what the code does, but not the detail an interviewer would ask about.
4. Six of the ten companies pick the AI for you
Amazon, Stripe, Instacart, Meta, Atlassian and Google give you their assistant inside their own tool. Canva, DoorDash and Shopify let you bring your own. For Coinbase the reports don't say. From a prep perspective this matters. An assistant you never used behaves differently from the one in your editor.
What I take from it
In this round the AI writes the code. What is left for you is to check what it wrote and to explain it afterwards, and that is what the round tests. The numbers say most people practice getting the code written, and skip the checking and the explaining.
The full method is on one page, at https://nyrion.ai/research/ai-coding-interviews-2026. It has every number with its window and sample size, and the dated list of the ten companies. How each company runs its round is at https://nyrion.ai/companies.
To clarify, these are practice sessions, not real interviews. Our assistant also follows its own rules, so the rates describe how people practice, and they don't describe every company's round. Every number is an aggregate over at least 20 people. The numbers are from our database, with my own accounts and test accounts excluded.
