It is one of the most anti-user business models on the modern web.

Even worse: many builders that do give you a PDF render it by snapping a bitmap canvas snapshot or using convoluted multi-column CSS grids. When an enterprise Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (Workday, Greenhouse, Taleo) reads that file, the text stream gets completely garbled:

What the ATS parser actually reads: "Senior AWS 2022 Docker Engineer - Present React PostgreSQL"
Qualified engineers get filtered out before a human ever lays eyes on their application.

To solve this, I built FreeAICV.me
— an unwatermarked, 100% free AI career suite and resume platform. Here is the technical breakdown of how it works under the hood.

High-Level Architecture
The platform is designed around three non-negotiables:

Zero Paywalls: Monitored ethically without trapping core features behind payment gates.
True Vector PDFs: No fuzzy rasterized images; pure coordinate text streams.
Automated Geometry Balancing: Never let 3 words spill over to Page 2.
The Pipeline:

User Profile Input: Live Markdown or structured profile input.
Server Actions: Next.js server actions connecting to Google Gemini API.
ATS Parsing Rubric: Evaluated against 18 semantic ATS checkpoints.
Geometry Constraint Engine: Dynamic line-height, margin, and font-scale balancing.
Client-Side Vector Engine: Direct 1-click high-resolution PDF download with no paywalls.

100% Vector Output vs. The Canvas Trap Most web PDF generators take the shortcut of rasterizing DOM elements into HTML5 canvas and embedding them as JPEG/PNG into a PDF wrapper.

Why that fails:

File sizes inflate to 3MB–8MB.
Text is unselectable and unsearchable.
Screen readers and ATS parsers fail completely.
How FreeAICV solves this: Instead, FreeAICV utilizes client-side vector coordinate mapping. Every character, bullet point, section divider, and margin is emitted as an absolute vector stream.

Because every string exists as searchable semantic text, parsing algorithms can extract contact details, job titles, companies, dates, and skills in sequential order with a 98%+ ATS pass rate.

The Smart 1-Page Geometry Engine The single most frustrating user experience in resume drafting is the "one-line overflow" — when two stray words spill onto page 2, throwing off the layout.

Rather than forcing users to manually delete bullet points, FreeAICV runs an automated geometry solver:

It calculates the cumulative rendered height across all active sections.
If the height overshoots the standard Letter / A4 boundary by less than 15%, the layout solver dynamically micro-adjusts:
Line height (from 1.4 down to 1.22)
Section padding (from 16px to 10px)
Font scale down by micro-fractions (0.96x)
The layout automatically locks to a single, aesthetically proportioned page.
