SIMMTECH reported third-quarter revenue of 535.9 billion won and operating profit of 101.8 billion won on November 3, according to a regulatory filing. Revenue and operating profit rose 43.7% and 721.6%, respectively, from a year earlier. Quarterly operating profit exceeded 100 billion won for the first time in four years, since the third quarter of 2022, when the semiconductor industry was in an upswing.

Compared with the previous quarter, revenue increased 4.2% and operating profit climbed 61.8%. Quarterly revenue also surpassed the previous record of 514.6 billion won set in the second quarter, marking a new high.

The operating margin reached 19%, up 15.7 percentage points from a year earlier and 6.8 percentage points from the previous quarter. Profitability has improved sharply, following margins of 3.2% in the first quarter and 12.2% in the second. The improvement reflects factory utilization exceeding 80% from the second quarter, allowing the company to move beyond the break-even point (BEP).

Revenue for the first nine months totaled 1.4729 trillion won, surpassing the full-year 2025 figure of 1.4106 trillion won. Cumulative operating profit reached 178.4 billion won. Third-quarter net profit rose 280.2% from a year earlier to 25.5 billion won, but fell 43.3% from the previous quarter.

Revenue from Small Outline Compression Attached Memory Module (SOCAMM), a low-power memory module designed for artificial intelligence (AI) servers, expanded significantly. SIMMTECH is increasing production capacity to meet rising demand. The company plans to invest 150 billion won in a dedicated factory for SOCAMM module substrates.

SIMMTECH will also invest 274.2 billion won to expand production of SOCAMM module substrates and modified Semi-Additive Process (mSAP) substrates. The company plans to increase the total investment to 400 billion won.

Once the first phase of investment is completed, annual production capacity for SOCAMM modules will increase from 300 billion won to 500 billion won. The company will also add 250 billion won in annual production capacity for semiconductor package substrates. New production lines are scheduled to begin operations sequentially from 2028.
