Revisemap 將 YouTube 影片內容整理成思維導圖

I Was Tired of Rewatching YouTube Lectures — So I Built Revisemap 🚀

Me Kundan Kumar As the founder of Revisemap, I wanted to solve a problem I personally faced while learning from YouTube.

Whether it was programming tutorials, startup interviews, or educational lectures, I often found myself coming back to the same videos whenever I needed to revise something.

And the problem was always the same.

Rewatch a 2-hour lecture.
Scroll through pages of unstructured notes.
Or go through a long, messy transcript.

None of these felt like an efficient way to revise.

I wanted something visual, structured, and easy to revisit. Something that could turn hours of learning into a clear overview of the most important concepts.

That's what led me to build Revisemap.

💡 The Problem I Wanted to Solve

Most of us consume hours of educational content on YouTube. We watch, understand, and move on. But when it's time to revise, finding the important concepts and understanding how they connect becomes a challenge.

Traditional summaries help, but they present information linearly.

I wanted to make learning easier to revisit, not just easier to summarize.

🧠 The Idea Behind Revisemap

I built Revisemap around a simple workflow:

Paste a YouTube video link.

Extract and process the transcript.

Identify key concepts, topics, and subtopics.

Organize the information into a structured hierarchy.

Generate a visual mind map.

Export it as a clean, printable PDF.

The goal isn't simply to shorten a video. It's to help learners see the bigger picture, understand relationships between concepts, and revise more efficiently.

🎯 Why Mind Maps?

Because learning shouldn't always mean going through information from beginning to end.

Mind maps make it easier to:

Understand complex topics at a glance.

See connections between ideas.

Recall important concepts during revision.

Review lengthy lectures in a fraction of the time.

I see Revisemap being useful for students preparing for competitive exams, developers learning new technologies, entrepreneurs studying business case studies, and anyone who relies on YouTube for learning.

🛠️ What I've Learned While Building It

Building Revisemap has reinforced a few important lessons for me:

Raw transcripts aren't enough. Information needs structure.

Better organization can be more valuable than shorter summaries.

A printable PDF can make digital learning more practical.

A simple, focused product can solve a real problem better than one overloaded with features.

I didn't want to build just another AI-powered tool. I wanted to build something useful for a problem I experienced myself.

🚀 What's Next?

Revisemap is a work in progress, and I'm continuously looking for ways to improve the experience, from mind map structure and visual layouts to the overall workflow.

As its founder, I'm excited to see how it evolves and how it can help people learn more effectively.

If you regularly learn from YouTube, I'd love for you to give it a try.
