Building SaaS Products with Laravel: Lessons I'm Learning Along the Way

I'm a software engineer from Bangladesh, and I've been working with Laravel and PHP to build web applications and SaaS products.

Over time, I've become increasingly interested in more than just writing code. I want to understand how to build products that are reliable, maintainable, and useful for real businesses.

Why I Enjoy Working with Laravel

Laravel makes it possible to build powerful web applications without reinventing the wheel.

Some things I appreciate about the ecosystem include:

• Clean architecture: Organizing code so it stays maintainable as a project grows.
• Queues and background jobs: Moving time-consuming tasks out of the main request cycle.
• Caching: Reducing unnecessary database queries and repeated work.
• Developer productivity: Building features without sacrificing code readability.

Of course, choosing a framework is only the beginning. The real challenge comes when an application grows and real users start depending on it.

Building SaaS Products in the Real World

I'm currently working on SaaS products, including Sellsull, an ecommerce platform designed to help entrepreneurs manage their online businesses.

Working on real products has made me more curious about application performance, database optimization, server management, and the trade-offs involved in software architecture.

I'm also exploring better ways to use AI coding tools in my development workflow while keeping code quality and maintainability in mind.

What I Want to Share Here

I plan to write about things I'm learning and solving along the way, including:

• PostgreSQL and database optimization
• Redis-compatible caching and background jobs
• Linux servers, Docker, and DevOps
• SaaS architecture and real-world engineering challenges
