Movin, a South Korean artificial intelligence (AI) company specializing in LiDAR-based 3D motion data, has raised 10 billion won in Series A funding.
Movin said November 3 that it secured 10 billion won in a Series A funding round led by IMM Investment. IBK Industrial Bank of Korea and Voyager Ventures also participated. Existing investors Atinum Investment, NAVER D2SF and Schmidt made additional investments.
Founded in 2023, Movin develops technology that converts human movements into highly precise 3D data. Its flagship product, MOVIN TRACIN, combines LiDAR sensors with proprietary AI technology to capture human movements in real time without requiring specialized suits or markers.
The company has secured overseas customers, primarily in content production markets such as gaming, film and virtual creators. According to Movin, the product generated 1 billion won in global revenue within its first year of launch, with overseas markets accounting for approximately 70% of total sales.
More recently, Movin has expanded into robotics training. According to the company, global robotics companies and research institutions, including Boston Dynamics and the Robotics and AI Institute (RAI Institute), are using its technology for robot teleoperation and training. Movin is also supplying its robotics training solution, MOVIN TRACIN R1, to partners.
Movin previously secured seed funding from NAVER D2SF in 2023. In March 2025, it raised 4 billion won in a pre-Series A funding round involving Atinum Investment and other investors.
The company plans to establish a 100-pyeong (approximately 330-square-meter) research and development (R&D) center to develop multimodal data technology capable of simultaneously collecting human movements and information about surrounding spaces in real-world environments.
