如何為雙輸入上載表單中的每個檔案清楚標示用途
Give each file a clear job in a two-input upload form
A photo-to-motion form asks for a still image and a reference video. Both arrive through file pickers, but they represent different decisions. The interface can make those decisions clear before the user starts a generation job.
Label the role, then the file
“Character photo” tells someone what the image contributes. “Dance reference” tells them what the video contributes. Two boxes labelled “Upload file” leave that relationship unexplained.
Keep a preview beside each label. The image preview should make the selected subject easy to recognize. The video preview should make the chosen movement easy to inspect. File names help confirm which files were selected, but they do not replace those previews.
Make the selected range visible
The reference file and the requested movement are not always the same length. A long clip may contain only a short passage the user wants to use.
Show the selected start and end points near the preview, and let the user play that passage before submitting. If they change the range, update the selection summary there as well. A thumbnail of the entire source file cannot explain which part will be used.
This keeps the review question concrete: is this the movement the user meant to choose?
Separate selected, uploading, and ready
A file appearing in a picker does not mean its upload or preparation has finished. Give those states different labels so that the next action is understandable.
Keep an image-format error beside the photo input. Keep an invalid time range beside the reference selector. When one input needs attention, preserve the other preview so the user can fix that specific problem without repeating the whole form.
Before enabling the final action, the interface should be able to answer three questions: which subject was selected, which movement range was selected, and whether both inputs are ready.
A useful final walkthrough is to ask someone to describe the request using only what the form shows. If they can identify the subject and play the exact movement they selected, the form has made its two inputs understandable.
