Clarivate 將 CompuMark 商標數據接入 Microsoft Copilot
Clarivate Connects CompuMark Trademark Data to Microsoft Copilot
Clarivate announced on November 2, 2026 that it will bring its CompuMark trademark data and insights into Microsoft Copilot through IPOne, the company’s intelligence platform for IP decisions, giving intellectual property professionals natural-language access to trademark intelligence inside Copilot workflows.
In the London-dated release, Clarivate describes CompuMark as the source of authoritative trademark data and insight, and IPOne as the connector that lets professionals query, analyze and apply that intelligence through natural language, purpose-built AI agents and the tools they already use, including Copilot.
Simon Webster, president of intellectual property at Clarivate, called the collaboration “a major step in delivering on the IPOne vision: bringing trusted IP intelligence directly into the environments where professionals work every day.” He said that connecting proprietary, curated trademark data with AI allows organizations to make more confident and informed decisions about their IP.
Chantrelle Nielsen, principal product manager for the Copilot Platform at Microsoft, said bringing Clarivate’s trademark intelligence into the Copilot ecosystem gives IP professionals new ways to access the intelligence they need through natural language and to build it into agentic workflows.
IPOne is being developed in collaboration with corporate IP teams at 15 Fortune 500 companies and leading law firms.
The IPOne Platform
Clarivate introduced IPOne on May 29, 2026 as a unified platform combining purpose-built AI agents with proprietary data. The platform connects the company’s Derwent patent, Darts-ip litigation and CompuMark trademark and industrial design data, and is built for use cases including discovery, clearance, prioritization, monitoring, analysis and decision support across the IP lifecycle.
IPOne includes Model Context Protocol connectors, an open standard that allows AI tools to securely connect to external data sources and services, so organizations can embed IP intelligence inside their enterprise large language model platforms.
Trademark Data Inside Copilot
On its IPOne CompuMark Trademark MCP product page, Clarivate says the connector brings CompuMark data into enterprise AI environments that include Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude, and lists use cases of trademark preliminary screening, trademark watch monitoring, and portfolio and competitive landscape analysis.
Clarivate states that CompuMark covers more than 168 million trademark records across 188 trademark databases globally, along with more than 2.3 million common law records and more than 500 million business names, with over 13,000 trademarks indexed daily. Some 29.7% of records are enhanced and error-corrected by a team of more than 170 professional analysts.
Access to the Trademark MCP requires a valid CompuMark subscription, and the connector complements rather than replaces its existing CompuMark tools.
Certification, Data Handling and Access
Microsoft’s Marketplace listing for the IPOne Trademark Search Agent describes the Copilot agent as running first-pass trademark knockout searches for a proposed mark: it collects the relevant Nice classes and registration offices, searches CompuMark trademark records and the public web, identifies the most relevant potential conflicts, assesses commercial use and produces a structured risk report with source links. Using the agent requires an active Clarivate IPOne MCP account.
According to Microsoft’s app-certification record, completed with information provided by Clarivate, the agent is invoked through the Microsoft 365 Copilot declarative agent framework and calls a Clarivate-hosted MCP endpoint rather than Microsoft-hosted services. The agent processes user prompts and trademark name inputs, which may include business information, proposed marks, jurisdictions and search criteria; Clarivate retains requests and logs for audit and support purposes; and the data is stored in the United States, with retention extending more than 90 days after account termination. Clarivate reports in the record that the app is ISO 27001 certified and that it does not transfer customer data to third parties or sub-processors.
