The AI giant is expected to go public under the ticker symbol ‘ANT’ by mid-November.

With the final paperwork submitted yesterday (26 October), Anthropic is nearing a blockbuster initial public offering that is expected to raise $100bn or more in one of the largest listings in history. The AI giant will list in the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ‘ANT’ ticker, it said in a statement.

The company did not disclose its intended valuation or the number of shares it plans to sell in its latest submission with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, though previous reports have suggested that an IPO could value Claude-maker between $1.5trn to $2trn. Anthropic’s last announced round earlier this year valued it at $965bn.

The AI giant kickstarted its journey towards a public listing in June, but has since reportedly delayed plans to mid-November. In recent years, its advanced frontier AI models have become a mainstay across industries, including with supporting governments, non-profits and organisations with cybersecurity reinforcement.

The company’s filings reveal a H1 revenue of nearly $16.3bn this year – up 1,300pc over the $1.1bn it made in the same time last year, while operating loss has dropped by $180bn to $4bn despite a sharp rise in expenses. Net loss is at $80.7bn, largely due to accounting adjustment related to financing agreements.

Filings further show that Anthropic has spent more than $19bn in AI infrastructure since its founding five years ago in 2021. Among its several multibillion-dollar commitments, the company has agreed to spend at least $45bn with Microsoft between November 2026 and May 2033. It has also agreed to spend $114.5bn on Google, $110bn with Amazon and up to $120.5bn with SpaceX.

At the same time, chipmaker Broadcom announced that it secured $63bn from major US banks to finance AI chips for Anthropic. The two already have a major joint deal to tap 3.5GW of Google’s tensor processing unit capacity from Broadcom. The company estimates that future payments for additional compute to be around $125bn to $150bn.

Earlier this month, the Claude-maker also said that it will assign at least 5pc of its shares to a funding entity dedicated to making donations in aid of “the public good”.
