OpenAI announced GPT-6.1 Terra on October 26, 2026. It's available in ChatGPT Work and Codex on paid plans, and through the API as gpt-6.1-terra.

API pricing (standard rates)

$1 per million input tokens
$0.05 per million cached input tokens
$5 per million output tokens

That's 50% below GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol. Keep in mind this is a per-token price, so real savings depend on your token mix, especially how much of your input hits the cache.
