I've just released CutVii, a free and open-source video editor that combines traditional editing tools with AI-powered features.

The goal is simple: make video editing more accessible without expensive software subscriptions.

Why Another Video Editor?

There are already plenty of video editors available. So why build another one?

As AI tools become more common in content creation, video editing workflows increasingly involve multiple tools for clipping, subtitles, voice-overs, visual styling, and exporting.

For creators who are just getting started, the cost of premium software can also become a barrier.
